While we often prefer indulging in light to medium roasts while designing and producing your packs, we realize there are some creatures dwelling in darkness that require something different. This is for those who want their coffee like the shattered infatuations of youth: dark, overpowering and toxic.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis coffee hails from the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Much of the coffee from this region is processed using a unique method called giling basah, or “wet hulled.” Essentially, the skin, fruit pulp and protective parchment layer of a coffee cherry is torn from the seed to allow for faster drying in an environment of extreme humidity and relentless rainfall. This quick process mutes many of the bright and fruity notes associated with other processing methods and creates the distinct Sumatran flavor profiles: low acidity, dark earthy notes, and a syrupy body.
