Women's Bikepacking Overnighter - September 13-14, 2025

It’s time again for a ladies trip! This is a sub 24 hour overnighter out to Indian Lake campground and back from our shop, SpokeNGear Cyclery in Two Harbors, Minnesota!

SIGN UP HERE!!

What: This event is for women-identifying folks and meant to be a chill gathering where we ride bikes with camping gear strapped to them while adventuring through the beautiful north woods on gravel and paved roads. This ride is designed to be bikepacking beginner friendly as well as financially attainable. We are asking this year for donations as they go towards insurance and cost of campsites. Recommended donation is $25.

When: Saturday, September 13th to Sunday, September 14th. On Saturday we will rollout from the shop around 12:00 PM. Return ETA for Sunday is before noon.
Last year it took us roughly 2.5 hours (ride time) to bike to Indian Lake and 1.5 hours to return home. However, we have plenty of time to get to where we need to be and these times are not expected.

Friday, September 12th we will be having a pre-ride gathering on the back patio of the cafe for folks who want to bring their bike and gear and get some ideas for how to pack it up. We will have some snacks and hang out from 5-7:30pm! If you're trying to hit the cafe before it closes or plan to do some shopping at Spokengear, aim to arrive around 4pm or sooner.

Where: Begin and end at Spokengear (1130 11th St. Two Harbors, MN)

Camping spot is Indian Lake Campground (Hwy 44 Brimson, MN)
Approximately 23 miles from Spokengear

Level of expectations: Are you okay at camping but great at bikes? Or okay at bikes but great at camping? Do you think you can ride 23 miles in a day (bet you can), then this is for you. We ask, however, that you do have a functioning bike. If inevitable adventure maintenance presents itself we will rejoice at the learning opportunity! On the other hand please do your best to make sure your bike is in working condition before the trip.
Note that you must be able to sustain yourself for about 24 hours. This includes water management, food, shelter, a sleep system, and gear management on your part. We will have a van to aid in transporting gear that does not fit on bikes but the goal of this event is to be as self supported as possible.

*After signing up you will receive an email with more details.
